Following in the footsteps of Subway, GUCCI outlets will now willingly accept cryptocurrency payments.


Gucci, a renowned top luxury brand, is now started taking cryptocurrencies like bitcoins, Ethereum, dogecoin, and Shiba Inu at many of its locations by the end of this month. Through this July, the business expects most of its controlled directly locations in North America to take cryptocurrency.

Posted on Vogue Business, the Italian super-luxury clothing manufacturer Gucci will begin accepting cryptocurrency transactions soon this month at five of its outlets.

The five locations are in New York (Wooster Street), Los Angeles (Rodeo Drive), Miami (Design District), Atlanta (Phipps Plaza), and Las Vegas (The Shops at Crystals).

And those are the cryptocurrencies accompanied by Bitpay, a major crypto money transfer operator that also accepts GUSD, USDC, USDP, DAI, and BUSD stablecoins.

"Gucci is constantly eager to adopt technological advances because they can give a better service for the buyer," said Marco Bizzarri, president and CEO of Gucci.

Presently together we can incorporate virtual currencies into our billing system, it is a natural progression for the customer base who want to have this choice available to each other.

According to the published, the clothing company intends for all of its directly-operated North American stores to recognise cryptocurrency disbursements by this summer.

Gucci has been expanding its (NFT) and Web3 initiatives. The firm has lately formed a Web3-focused division and has produced a few NFTs.

The fashion label is also making inroads into the virtual world. In The Sandbox, it is creating a virtual property. The 2 firms earlier stated that they will "work collaboratively to develop an immersive fashion everlasting impression on Vault, Gucci's conceptual environment and gathering place influenced by nostalgic memories of the hunt for perfection."
