This year, Indore, the cleanest city in India, is hosting the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan with the theme ‘Diaspora: Reliable Partners for India’s Progress in Amrit Kaal’. Non-Resident Indians will get a chance to explore new ventures and contribute their part to the development of the country.

The MEA India could not organize the Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan in physical mode due to Covid-19 which is going back offline this year. This event will work towards strengthening the ties of India with its citizens living overseas and reconnecting them to their roots. This event will also award exemplary contributors of the Indian diaspora and the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman, the highest honour conferred on a Non-Resident Indian.
The event will be inaugurated on 9th Jan 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mohmed. Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana, will be the chief guest for this year’s celebrations. President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu will preside over the award ceremony on 10th Jan.
