Trust Wallet (TWT)

The Trust Wallet Token, or TWT, is a simple BEP-20 utility token that gives users of Trust Wallet a number of benefits and incentives. Trust Wallet is a mobile cryptocurrency wallet that supports dozens of popular native assets as well as popular tokens on the Ethereum, Binance, and TRON blockchains.

When they use Trust Wallet, people who own TWT tokens can get a number of benefits, such as discounts on in-app cryptocurrency purchases and the use of decentralised exchange (DEX) services. TWT holders can also take part in the management of Trust Wallet and vote on proposed changes to the app, which helps shape how it grows.

When it first came out, Trust Wallet Token was a BEP-2 asset on Binance Chain. In October 2020, it came out again as a BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain.

Viktor Radchenko came up with the idea for Trust Wallet in 2017. Radchenko is from Mountain View, California, and has worked as a developer and engineer for several tech companies. In 2013, he co-founded Trucker Path, which makes one of the most popular apps for truckers and logistics firms.

Radchenko got into the mobile cryptocurrency wallet business when he realised that "app stores didn't have any open source wallets for Ethereum and ERC20 tokens."

In July 2018, Binance bought the platform for an amount that was not made public. Radchenko still works on the platform as part of the Binance team. The full Trust Wallet team is not known to the public, but it is known that it is made up of more than 20 people, many of whom have roles at Binance that overlap.
