Bitcoiner Kidnapped, Forced to Transfer BTC, Then Killed
Four suspects, aged 24 to 29, allegedly premeditated the kidnapping and murder of a 29-year-old foreign national Bitcoiner in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The suspects forced the victim to transfer approximately 2.55 BTC, valued at around $170,000, before killing him.
The victim was taken to an abandoned building, where he was forced to transfer the Bitcoin and then strangled to death.
The suspects tried to conceal the crime by changing the appearance and number plates of the car used.
The suspects converted the stolen Bitcoin (BTC) into USD and euros before being detained by Kyiv Police.
Kyiv prosecutors aim to charge the suspects with murder, robbery, illegal deprivation of liberty, and concealment of crime.
