The Bank of England

To safeguard the macroeconomic situation in the UK, the Bank of England is switching to quantitative easing.

To get the UK economy back on track, the Bank of England will purchase long-term debt. After the new UK PM announced their promises to cut taxes, the Sterling Pound dropped to its lowest point versus the US dollar. The new Chancellor of the UK, Kwasi Kwarteng, unveiled tax cuts supported by debt.

The newly elected conservative government has also received criticism from the International Monetary Fund for its shoddy tax cut scheme. As soon as the news of the quantitative easing surfaced, bitcoin prices increased. However, when the dollar's rally grew stronger, the prices decreased.

The Definition of Quantitative Easing

As inflation keeps rising, there is a full-blown economic catastrophe in the UK. More significantly, the UK's macroeconomic condition has been negatively damaged by the threat of a recession. The Bank of England will switch to quantitative easing because they think it will help the economy get back into balance.

Market players, however, are not pleased with the central bank's choice. Many think that this choice will cause the economy to experience hyperinflation. The well-known investor and economist Peter Schiff issued a warning about this very thing.

The UK's monetary policy has come under increased scrutiny since the White House allayed concerns about a strong currency. After the market received the news about quantitative easing, the dollar index increased.

Will The Federal Reserve Change Course?

The Federal Reserve continues to take a hawkish stance against inflation at the moment. The Minnesota Fed's Neel Kashkari thinks the interest rates might not be high enough. The Boston Fed's Susan Collins emphasises the significance of keeping a hawkish attitude.

The CEO of Eight Global and a significant influencer, Michael van de Poppe, says that the Fed could need to change course. Fears of a recession are growing as the demand slump quickens.
