Michael Jackson's Big Boy as Anotherblock's Exclusive Release

In a groundbreaking move, a demo version of the song "Big Boy" recorded by Michael Jackson 56 years ago is set to be globally released on December 7 as a "digital vinyl" through the blockchain music platform Anotherblock. This historic recording, titled "Big Boy (One-Derful Version)," captures an eight-year-old Michael Jackson during his first studio session with his brothers on July 13, 1967, at One-Derful in Chicago.

The release, a collaboration between Recordpool, the owner of the recording, and Anotherblock, a Swedish blockchain-based music and royalty marketplace, will be accessible through the platform's player. The digital vinyl will include images of the master tape and song stems and will be available as both an open and limited edition for 48 hours.

Anotherblock, having previously worked with major artists like Rihanna, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber, emphasises the unique storytelling and community-building possibilities enabled by the blockchain format.

CEO and co-founder Michel D. Traore sees the release as a way to elevate the song beyond a mere commodity, stating that some songs, like "Big Boy," deserve a special home in the digital landscape. Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, expressed excitement, noting that this release is a testament to the timeless nature of the Jacksons' musical legacy in the digital age.

Blockchain Technology in Diversified Fields

The utilisation of blockchain platforms extends to diverse sectors, with the entertainment and music industries standing out as key beneficiaries. The upcoming release of the song "Big Boy" by Michael Jackson on a blockchain-based platform, Anotherblock, marks a significant milestone in this intersection of technology and the arts. As a legendary figure in the music world, Michael Jackson's music video launch using blockchain technology adds a novel dimension to fan engagement.

The decision to release the video as a limited edition amplifies the anticipation and enthusiasm among fans, creating a unique and exclusive experience. This event not only showcases the adaptability of blockchain platforms but also highlights their potential to revolutionise content distribution, fostering a sense of community and excitement around iconic cultural moments.

Michael Jackson's "Big Boy" release serves as a testament to the evolving landscape where blockchain plays a pivotal role in reshaping the entertainment and music industry dynamics.

Futuristic Approach of Blockchain Technology

In the future, blockchain technology could be leveraged to provide artists with more direct control over their content, ensuring fair compensation and royalties. The transparent and secure nature of blockchain transactions may contribute to a more equitable distribution of revenue in the music industry.

As the Michael Jackson release demonstrates, blockchain's ability to tokenize and authenticate digital assets could also pave the way for a new era of rare and exclusive content. This could create exciting opportunities for artists and fans alike, with limited edition digital releases becoming a norm, enhancing the value and scarcity of digital assets.

In summary, the release of "Big Boy" on Anotherblock represents a glimpse into how blockchain technology could revolutionise the music industry, offering new avenues for artists, fans, and the overall entertainment landscape.
