Binance secures Cristiano Ronaldo as a partner for its NFT push

Cristiano Ronaldo, a soccer legend, and cryptocurrency exchange Binance have agreed to an exclusive multi-year nonfungible token (NFT) collaboration. The partnership intends to attract soccer fans to the Web3 environment through international NFT initiatives.

The deal would entail Ronaldo and Binance producing a number of NFT collections. The first collection will be released later this year, and they will only be sold on the Binance NFT platform.

Ronaldo has achieved great achievements in soccer, and Binance CEO and founder Changpeng Zhao said that the player has "transcended sport to become an icon in numerous sectors."

Back in March, Ronaldo received cryptocurrency tokens for his sporting accomplishments. For each senior career goal the soccer player scored, he received JUV tokens, the club's (Juventus F.C.) official fan token.

The CEO of Binance voiced optimism earlier in June, despite the current crypto winter. Zhao stated with assurance that this is his third crypto winter and Binance's second experience with this kind of market circumstance, suggesting that the company is experienced in navigating through a bear market. In addition, the CEO of Binance stated that they will take advantage of the chance to employ the best talent that is available at this moment.
