Japanese Virtual IP Firm Raises $10 Million to Boost Metaverse Business

Japanese virtual IP firm Brave Group Inc. has announced the raising of $10 million in additional funding, some of which would be used to expand its "solution services for customers in the metaverse marketing industry."
Dawn Capital and Osaka Gas Co. Ltd., two Japanese businesses, took part in the round that also included "international investment funds and private investors," according to a recent statement from Brave Group.
Kazuhiro Ishikura, a general partner at Dawn Capital, made the following observations after the capital raise announcement: "As the line between real and virtual life dissolves, the form of entertainment will also evolve, and new IP content KOLs are likely to be produced. We think that the Brave group's content will be at the heart of the passionate virtual communities that will develop as the metaverse industry expands internationally. We hope that the robust anime and manga culture that Japan has developed over the years will be electronically shared with the rest of the globe.”
Osaka Gas' senior general manager for innovation, Yuichi Sakamoto, is reported as saying that his organization is prepared to assist Brave Group Inc. in realizing lifestyles and enterprises that adapt to the New Normal.
Keito Noguchi, the CEO of Brave Group Inc., stated that his business will "maximize the effect of Brave group's IP not only in Japan but also in the globe" as a result of the $10 million fundraising effort.
