On May 3, journalist Yueqi Yang detailed Medici LA 22, a private meeting intended to generate "implementable investment opportunities" in the cryptocurrency business. The gathering was held behind-closed-door meetings and was a no-name tagged gathering that drew roughly 130 participants over the course of 2 nights. According to Yang's account, the meeting was conducted at the French restaurant Jean-Georges in Beverly Hills. "Tickets for the event were difficult to get by," several guests told Yang, and some of the LA Medici Jane Street, Goldman Sachs, and Blackrock were among the 22 participants.
According to the source, Brian Armstrong, as well as Mike Novogratz, a millionaire and the CEO of Galaxy Digital, attended. Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, Kanav Kariya, chairman of Jump Crypto, Mihailo Bjelic, co-founder of Polygon, and Adam Jackson, CEO of Braintrust all joined the special Medici event, according to Yang. The Satoshi Roundtable was dubbed the "Bilderberg" summit of the virtual currency within the first annual gathering.
