Walken announced its current roadmap, as well as new application features that the company characterizes as "key developments." In the next months, the Walken team will launch a rating system reflecting user activity and achievements, as well as a Wheel of Fortune feature to reward active players. It is worth noting that the latter will be available on both Android and iOS smartphones.
The Walken Ambassador and specialized bonus-linked referral programs will be launched as part of the move-to-earn. The Walken team also stated that the 60 million community-generated tokens will be used to reinvest in Walken and offer value to the community.
The game intends to expand its localization capabilities with seven new languages. This appears to be a byproduct of the Walken mobile app's massive user base in many regions of the world.
According to the most recent in-game economic figures, Russia accounts for 19.6% of Walken's user base, followed by Ukraine at 10.4%, India at 7.34%, and Vietnam at 5.13%. Furthermore, from July to August, the app saw a surge of over 20,000 additional daily users.
Since early August, Android users who have downloaded Walken have accounted for over 7,000 new unique daily users. Meanwhile, iOS users have accounted for over 1,000. Walken now has over 1.11 million users. The team anticipates that this figure will increase by 2 million by the end of 2022.
One of the primary concerns of any gamified Web3 project, especially a [free-to-play] one, is to make it both engaging and viable, according to Walken co-founder and CEO Alexei Kulevets. The rising enthusiasm for this initiative in key global locations demonstrates that people are eager to dig into Web3 and reap the benefits it can provide.
The team has also disclosed that they are building a new game featuring "the CAThletes". The game will be released as a separate platform from Walken in order to increase its audience and give them a different experience.
To the uninitiated, Walken rewards users with WLKN tokens merely by walking. The project is being created by the same team that created Appyfurious and GetFit Apps.
