Solana smartphone Saga got mixed reactions

In response to Solana's new Web3 phone, the community discussed network outages and made comparisons to Apple and Ethereum.

After announcing Saga, an Android smartphone that would be released alongside the Solana project's most recent stack for Web3 developers, the Solana Mobile Stack, the Solana team has brought mobile phones to Web3. The community reacted positively to the new advancement in a variety of ways, from comparing Solana to Apple and Ethereum to raising concerns about network disruptions. 

Vinny Lingham co-founder and CEO of Civic commended on action, called it Web3's very own "iPhone moment," and congratulated co-founder of Solana Anatoly Yakovenko for making it possible.

Some members of the community also used this occasion to contrast the development of Solana with that of the Ethereum network. Thesolmane made the observation on Twitter that although Solana unveiled a Web3 phone, Ethereum has not seen any advancement in years.

Nathanweb3 also discussed how Solana is becoming a bigger danger to Ethereum in a Twitter discussion. The Twitter user claims that SOL's developers are aware of ETH's inadequacies in terms of user experience. Solana's team is resolving the problems and making things simpler for common users as a result.

Many people responded favourably, but some couldn't help but bring up the problem of Solana's network disruptions. The network experienced its fifth interruption of the year at the beginning of June, which caused Solana's (SOL) stock to fall. As a result, Twitter user Metamaxie, questioned why Solana is attempting to build phones when it ought to concentrate on making its blockchain dependable.

The creator of Cardano, Charles Hoskinson, has also criticised Solana's recent action. He said, to reboot a phone, a user would need to locate seven of their friends in Discord, suggesting that the phone would experience performance challenges similar to those experienced by the Solana blockchain.
