While speaking at the Miami Bitcoin 2022 conference on Thursday, Peter Thiel handed out an "enemies list" in an effort to call out anti-crypto investors.
He reportedly told the crowd “Let’s expose them”, as per Forbes.
Thiel's 'enemy' dossier included one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs of all time, Warren Buffett, whom Thiel likened to a sociopathic grandfather' for previous comments based partly on the value of cryptocurrency. And that isn't all. 'Enemy No. 1,' he continued, looking up at a blown-up photograph of Buffett.
Thiel did not spare JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon or BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, in addition to Buffett. "They should be dedicating part of their money to bitcoin," he added. We must retaliate against them."
Thiel's presentation of the list, delivered at Miami Bitcoin 2022, was the most notable moment in an otherwise straightforwardly pro-crypto, pro-bitcoin address.
Peter Thiel is also said to have chastised central banks throughout the country for their tardy adoption of virtual technologies. The rise in the value of bitcoin over the previous several years "tells us that central banks are insolvent." It's "warning us that the fiat money regime is coming to an end." Thiel predicted that the price of bitcoin might yet skyrocket 100 times over. But, before that, he believes the cryptocurrency would need to see significant more acceptance led by huge institutions. That's where Buffett and the rest of the 'enemy' come in.
