With over 50 Polygon

The Lens Protocol, a social media initiative built on the Polygon blockchain, has been launched by the blockchain business Aave. The lens is comparable to Twitter, however, Lens profiles are tied to a non-fungible token (NFT) that may be used in decentralized applications.

The Aave founder thinks people are 'Ready for an Improved Social Media Experience' now that Lens Protocol is available
The Lens Protocol is now online, according to Aave, a blockchain business, and about 50 applications have premiered on the network. The Lens Protocol was originally announced by Aave in the first week of February 2022, and the first applications are based on the Polygon network.
The ongoing Twitter ordeal with Elon Musk, according to Stani Kulechov, CEO and founder of Aave Companies, illustrates that people are yearning for something unique from the existing social media platforms. "Your data is completely held by a firm, which confines your social network within one platform," Kulechov said in a statement to News. "For the past few years, the social media encounter has stayed pretty unchanged."
But, like Elon Musk's proposal to buy Twitter shows, people are eager for a quality experience than what they're used to, according to the Aave founder. Holding of not only the online information you generate, but also your profile and social network, is long overdue, and Lens intends to empower users.
Polygon-based Lens delivers 50+ social applications and monetization tools for creators
According to the announcement, the 50 applications developed on Lens range from social apps to creator monetization tools. Users who have already created an NFT profile on Lens can use any of the apps, including Peerstream, Lenster, Swapify, Spamdao, and others.
While connecting to any decentralized application, Lens Protocol will empower users with the frameworks to utilize full ownership over their "profile, content, and interactions." The NFT filmmaker and founder G.Money explained how the lens will strengthen the platform's users.
"An open social graph will provide creators and marketers complete control over content delivery and consumers across all platforms."
"Through direct creator/brand-community partnerships, Lens supports network choice and opens up greater audiences," the NFT filmmaker stated.
