World’s first movie entirely funded by cryptocurrency has begun.

A new coin called FilmCoin seeks to empower movie fans to contribute to the cost of the films they wish to watch. They can also submit their names for roles in upcoming movies.

The ERC20 Utility Token team has begun work on their first film. The film is called “Tales From The Trap.” It is a story of conflicts between drug trafficking groups.

Darkhorse is a production company that is already using the coin. They claim to be the first digital film and television production studio in the world to use blockchain technology.  

NFTs connected to the movies and the music featured in them will also be made available by the studio. They will have unlockable real-world uses, such as the highly sought-after red carpet events, meet and greets, and VIP access to in-development film sets. All NFTs will be automatically connected to secondary markets like Opensea and Rarible and will have a real value.

Terry Stone, an actor and producer, is one of the stars who supports the FilmCoin coin. "FilmCoin is without a doubt the most exciting project I've worked on; I'm the first film producer in history to be developing a series of films wholly funded via a type of cryptocurrency and digital assets like NFTs."

Darkhorse explained, getting involved is simple. If you wish to appear in a film or television production or have your music used in one, all you have to do is fill out the form on the TFTT website and upload a sample of your work. If you are selected, a TFTT service representative will get in touch with you.
