AUTO is the native utility and governance token for the Autofarm protocol, which launched in late December 2020 on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Autofarm is a cross-chain yield aggregator that allows users to get a high return on their assets from yield farming pools by staking in Autofarm vaults.

Autofarm wants to be the leading DEX and yield aggregator on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) by combining yield optimization and AMM aggregation into a single product. This way, users can have two products on a single platform instead of having to register on multiple protocols.

Autofarm put out its first cross-chain vault on the Huobi ECO Chain in February 2021. Autofarm grew its ecosystem in March 2021 when it bought Farmfol.io. Farmfol.io is an intelligent portfolio manager that makes it easier for users to track and monitor their assets on Binance Smart Chain.

The AUTO token can be used to vote on proposals and will receive fees from the protocol. AUTO started a community-fair token distribution by making sure that only vault users could join the AUTO token vault mining programme.

Autofarm was started by a person or thing only known by the name mildgiraffe. Little is known about him, except that he has knowledge and experience in the crypto space and working with codes and smart contracts.
