Coin Info

DIA (Decentralized Information Asset) is an open-source oracle platform that lets market actors find, supply, and share trustworthy data. DIA wants to be an ecosystem for open financial data in a financial smart contract ecosystem, bringing together data analysts, data providers, and data users. In general, DIA provides a reliable and verifiable bridge between off-chain data from different sources and on-chain smart contracts that can be used to build a variety of financial DApps.

The DIA token is how the platform is run. It is based on the ERC-20 Ethereum protocol right now.

The project started in 2018, and the public could buy tokens during the bonding curve sale, which ran from August 3, 2020, to August 17, 2020, and sold 10.2 million tokens.

DIA wants to be what Wikipedia is to information about money. It specifically addresses the problem of old, unreliable, or hard-to-access data in the worlds of finance and crypto, especially DeFi, and proposes to solve it with a system of financial incentives for users to keep the flow of open-source, verified data streams to the oracles running. DIA says that the current design of oracles is not clear, hard to scale, and easy to attack.
