Coin Info

Frontier is a chain-agnostic decentralised finance (DeFi) aggregator. The project wants to add DeFi support to several blockchains, such as BandChain (BAND), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Harmony (ONE).

Users can use Frontier's apps to manage staking, DeFi positions, best-rate asset swapping, liquidity mining, and the creation and monitoring of collateralized debt positions (CDP).

In a nutshell, Frontier is giving users access to the most important parts of DeFi, no matter what platform they use.

Frontier started building in April 2019, and the beta version of the platform came out in November 2019.

Frontier announced in August 2020 that it had raised $1.85 million in seed funding from Alameda Research, CoinGecko, FTX, NGC Ventures, and other investors. In September 2020, FRONT, Frontier's own cryptocurrency, was listed for the first time on an exchange.

Frontier wants to fix the problem of the DeFi sector being too split up. When it comes to swapping, borrowing, lending, staking, and providing liquidity, there is a lot of isolation. Frontier wants to solve this problem by putting all of its DeFi apps in one place.

Frontier says that non-custodial wallets can be used to store most cryptoassets, but they can't be used for DeFi. This means that users have to download more than one wallet in order to take part in a single ecosystem. Frontier works with wallets like Metamask, FortMatic, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and imToken. People who want to use DeFi don't have to move their cryptoassets between different wallets.
