What is ETC Grants DAO?

ETC Grants DAO is a non‑profit decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that gives free grants in ETC tokens to developers building on the Ethereum Classic (ETC) blockchain. ETC Grants DAO is like a big team of blockchain friends who love Ethereum Classic (we call it ETC).This group has money and ideas to help new apps, games, and tools grow on the ETC network.They share this help by giving grants—which is just fancy talk for “free ETC money to support cool projects” 

How Does It Relate to a Crypto Airdrop?

• A Crypto airdrop means getting free cryptocurrency—like finding a surprise toy in your cereal box!

• ETC Grants DAO sometimes uses airdrops to share ETC tokens with people.

  • For example, they said: “Planning some juicy airdrops with ETC ecosystem projects—If free $ETC sounds good to you… Follow us so …” 

• This is a fun way to get free ETC tokens and help new tools or games on the network!

What Do They Do?

1. Give Grants

   • In late 2022 and early 2023, BITMAIN, ANTPOOL, and other partners put $1 million in ETC tokens into the DAO to support new projects

   • They funded around 19 projects in the first round, giving anywhere between 3,800 ETC and 50,000 ETC to each 

2. Support Cool Projects

   • Projects include NFT tools, block explorers, DeFi apps, games, stablecoins, cross-chain bridges, and more! 

   • Working apps include tools like blockchain protocol, NFT platforms, stablecoins called ECSD and ERUSD, and educational tools 

3. Reward with Bonuses

   • They also offer extra ETC coins for things like “most popular projects,” student projects, or solutions using AI or special tech
