Grayscale Removes Five Cryptos From Its Large Cap Fund

The largest asset manager for digital currencies in the world has updated its Fund Components for the second quarter of 2022. However, the company has removed some cryptocurrency tokens from its portfolio.

Grayscale stated that it has terminated Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Litecoin, Polkadot, and Uniswap in compliance with the Large Cap Select Index methodology. This has been done in order to restore equilibrium.
As of right now, the components of the Digital Large Cap Fund are as follows: 68.88 percent of Bitcoin (BTC), 25.22 percent of Ethereum (ETH), 2.71 percent of Cardano (ADA), 2.23 percent of Solana (SOL), and 0.96 percent of Avalanche (AVAX).
The figures show that the fund's assets under management are $201.3 million. However, throughout the past 12 months, it has lagged behind by 45.79 percent. Meanwhile, it has increased by 26.8% since its inception.
Meanwhile, the largest digital asset manager in the world has engaged with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in a protracted legal dispute.The watchdog rejected the proposed exchange-traded pool for spot bitcoin of Grayscale. However, on that same day, the organisation went ahead and filed the lawsuit.
According to reports, Grayscale requested in the filing that the court examine the SEC's ruling. The company previously stated that, in the case of rejection, they would be ready to sue the authorities.
DeFi funds remove YFI
The company also sold the fund components to modify the portfolio of its DeFi Fund, according to the press statement. They have taken Yearn Finance (YFI) out of the fund to rebalance it. There were, however, no additional tokens added to platform.
The Fund's constituents are as follows: Uniswap (UNI) 56.35 percent, MakerDAO (MKR) 13.49 percent, Aave (AAVE) 12.44 percent, Curve DAO Token (CRV) 7.48 percent, Amp (AMP) 5.52 percent, and Compound (COMP) 4.72 percent.
Meanwhile, the worldwide cryptocurrency market has increased by 2% during the last day. The volume of the 24 hour trading market has increased by 38.70% to $76.74 billion.
