In one of New York's cities, Jack Dorsey and Jay-Z launch the Bitcoin Academy

Jack Dorsey, the creator of financial technology startup Block Inc., has announced that he will open a Bitcoin Academy in Brooklyn in collaboration with musician Jay-Z. The objective of the Bitcoin Academy is to entitle and educate the people of the region. Citizens of Marcy House in Brooklyn, New York, will be considered for free seminars as well as other privileges such as internet data subscriptions, according to the project's website.
On Thursday, Jack Dorsey, the former CEO and co-founder of Twitter and the founder of Block Inc. said that he is working on a Bitcoin Academy with Jay-Z, the famous rap superstar.
Marcy Projects, often known as Marcy House, is a public housing project in Brooklyn, New York. When Jay-Z was a child, he resided on Marcy Avenue and visited Eli Whitney High School. In his Twitter post, Dorsey stated, "Bitcoin is becoming a key tool for many in Africa, Central, and South America." "We feel that communities in the United States have the same potential. Our goal is to show that making powerful technology more affordable to individuals gives them more independence.”
The executive of the Block remarked, "Education is where we begin." This is about more than bitcoin; it's about long-term planning, local economies, and self-assurance. And, to make things even easier, we'll provide devices and data plans to everybody who needs them.
'Hopefully, The Bitcoin Academy in Brooklyn Will Be the First of Many,' Jay-Z says
"Education is power," according to the Bitcoin Academy website, and lessons will run from June 22 through September 7 online or in person. All Marcy citizens are invited, according to the website. Every week, there will be two seminars with food supplied.
People of Marcy will receive MiFi devices as well as a year's supply of data, with the option to keep the devices if required. The Bitcoin Academy is also concentrating on the young, with a "Crypto Kids Camp" for children ages 5 to 17 taking place on Saturday.
On Thursday, Jay-Z tweeted, "Shout out to Jack." "Bitcoin Academy, which began in Marcy and taught me a lot, is hoped to be the first of many." The simple purpose is to provide individuals the tools they need to establish independence for themselves and their communities."
As Coingabbarearlier reported, this type of endeavour to educate and build awareness among folks about cryptocurrency has been seen all across the world in recent weeks.
