It’s the latest in a series of high-value purchases of SharpLink Ethereum , who has been consistently adding to its ether position since June.
But wait, why is the firm making such massive Ether buys again? Is there anything that we missed to notice? Let’s go deeper.
This latest SharpLink Ethereum buy pushes total holdings to an estimated 464,000 ETH, valued at around $1.62 billion as of date. The firm’s average buying price is $3,029, giving it around $214 million in unrealized profit. This puts the firm in one of the Companies with largest Ether-holdings.
Talking about other major players, Bitmine Immersion technology is still on the top with 625,000 ETH. The Ether Machine also secured third place with the recent purchase which made its total to 334,757 coins.
SharpLink Ethereum buying strategy draws comparisons to MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin model. However, unlike bitcoin, it provides added utility through its staking mechanism and network involvement.
But is it exactly on the same path as the Bitcoin giant? Well not completely.
SharpLink Ethereum is not just for holding, but staking significant portions of it to earn passive income, with staking yields currently hovering between 3.5% and 4.5%. Their strategy blends treasury management with blockchain participation, positioning the digital currency as both a capital asset and income generator.
ETH is trading at $3,529, down over 4% on the day after dropping from an earlier high of $3684, in the past 1 week. Despite the decline, trading volume has jumped to $42.22 billion, up 17%, showing strong market activity.

But the question is if the digital asset is consistently declining the heights why Sharplink is still investing in it?
The moves signal confidence, as the firm likely sees current levels as a discount rather than dander.
With consistent buying from institutions, renewed ETF inflows, and a growing number of coins being staked, Ether’s next leg up may be not far off. Analysts now see near term targets of $4,500 to $5,000 as realistic if market conditions hold. Some are even forecasting it could break $10,000 in the longer term, especially if Layer-2 scaling solutions work on network congestion and unlock new use cases.
However, if price continuously drops, SharpLink Ethereum valuation has to face a short term stress.
The company's hoarding is more than an aggressive position acquition. With appointments like former BlackRock digital asset head and Ethereum’s own co-founder on the board, the firm is indicating that it views the asset not only as a financial asset but as a building block.
Whether this becomes a broader trend across corporate treasuries remains to be seen but one thing is clear, SharpLink Ethereum collection is its core foundation and going to be a key player in its heights.
