Will Musk find a DOG

On Sunday, Twitter CEO and Dogecoin father Elon Musk

Created a poll on Twitter, asking its 120 million followers, "should I step down as CEO of Twitter?" The poll findings initially sparked a debate on the platform.

More than 17.5 million people voted in the poll, with 57.5% saying he should step down and 42.5% saying he should stay. After the outcome, Elon Musk announced that he will step down as CEO of Twitter as soon as he finds "someone crazy enough" to replace him at the social media giant.

Musk further stated that even if a new CEO is appointed, he will have some oversight over the company. Musk stated that he would like to lead the software and servers teams, in keeping with his aggressive approach to leading the social media company.

Musk, who acquired the company in October for a staggering $44 billion, has previously stated that his term as CEO will be temporary. "I expect to limit my time at Twitter and find somebody else to operate Twitter over time," Musk said in a court hearing in November.

Meanwhile, neither the poll results nor Musk's response affected the price of Dogecoin much. According to CoinGabbar statistics, the price of DOGE is currently trading at $0.0726, down 3% in the last 24 hours.
