Francis Suarez, the mayor of Miami and a supporter of cryptocurrencies, has filed paperwork indicating his intention to run for the U.S. presidency in 2024. He joins other Republican candidates like former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who are also known for their Bitcoin advocacy. The official paperwork was filed on June 14, according to the U.S. Federal Election Commission. Suarez is scheduled to speak about his presidential plans at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California on June 16. In the past, Suarez has expressed support for Bitcoin, even accepting his salary in the cryptocurrency.
