Citi Bank Projects Real Estate Tokenization in Crypto to Grow 

Investment bank Citi predicts that tokenization of real-world assets into crypto will be the next "killer use case," with the market ready to reach $4 to $5 trillion by 2030. Private equity and venture capital funds are expected to become the most tokenized asset class, with its transparent liquidity and unique characteristics allowing it to capture 10% of the market's total addressable market. However, challenges such as the lack of a legal and regulatory framework and widespread interoperability standards still exist in acquiring sets that adhere to these standards. Citibank estimates that $1.9 trillion will come from debt, $1.5 trillion from real estate, $0.7 trillion from private equity and venture capital, and $0.5 to $1 trillion from securities.
