CME Group Revealed Plan to Launch Ether/Bitcoin Ratio Futures

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group has revealed its plans to introduce Ether/Bitcoin Ratio futures on July 31, subject to regulatory approval. These futures contracts will settle in cash based on the final settlement prices of CME Group's Ether and Bitcoin futures. The new contract aims to provide investors with the opportunity to capitalize on the performance differences between Ether and Bitcoin without needing to take a directional view. CME Group initially entered the cryptocurrency market with Bitcoin futures in 2017, followed by Ether futures in 2021. They expanded their offerings with micro BTC and ETH futures contracts in 2022. CME Group also announced plans to introduce new options for Bitcoin and Ether contracts, allowing traders to manage short-term price risks more effectively.
