Ethereum Testnet Kiln To Shutdown During Merge Week

Ethereum's Testnet Kiln will be unavailable.

The Ethereum Foundation announced on Friday (September 9) that the Ethereum Merge testnet Kiln will be shut down during the week of September 12. Furthermore, after the Merge, the Ropsten and Rinkeby testnets will be disapproved and shut down in Q4 2022 and Q3 2023, respectively. According to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, the Merge is expected to take place between September 13-15.
