Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) are on strike over a proposed AI utilization by Hollywood studios. The proposal suggests that background actors should be digitally scanned, relinquishing rights to their likeness for indefinite use without further consent or compensation. This comes as the first simultaneous actor and writer strike in 63 years, amid concerns about AI's potential role in content creation and revision. The strike will continue until a fair deal is reached.
