David Marcus, co-creator of Libra and CEO of Lightspark, praises Bitcoin as the only "viable neutral settlement asset" for global real-time payments. Marcus dismisses altcoins as "too centralized" having unclear regulations. 

He recognizes the technical limitations of Bitcoin, but believes that the Lightning Network is an essential layer-2 solution for scalability. Despite challenges, Marcus anticipates increased efficiency with Lightning Network as developers integrate stablecoins and other assets.
