Musician Miley Cyrus Files Two Trademarks to Enter the Metaverse

Miley Cyrus, an American singer-songwriter, is the latest celebrity to take her name brand to the metaverse after she applied for numerous metaverse and non-fungible token (NFT)-related trademarks. The music diva known for her unique raspy voice joins a spate of organizations and brands foraying into the digital arena after filing two trademark applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office on Aug. 16 for 'Miley' and 'Miley Cyrus,' as per a tweet from non-fungible token and metaverse trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis on Aug. 22.
