SEC Chair Gary Gensler expressed openness to a rebooted FTX crypto exchange under new leadership. Former NYSE president Tom Farley is one among the bidders for FTX.

Gensler also emphasised the need to combat fraud in the crypto industry and tackle non-compliance with sanctions and money laundering laws. The SEC is involved in lawsuits against Binance, Coinbase, Ripple, and Grayscale over alleged securities violations.
