'The Goose' NFT by Dmitri Cherniak Sells for $6.2M at Sotheby's

In August 2021, Su Zhu and Kyle Davies acquired 'The Goose' digital artwork for around $5.8 million in Ether. Sotheby's, a leading auction house, sold several other notable pieces, including CryptoPunks #291, #6574, and #8950, as well as Autoglyph #218 from Larva Labs. These Punks fetched prices ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 each. Sotheby's has been actively involved in selling high-value NFTs, such as the first tweet by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and the original manuscript coining the term 'metaverse.' After experiencing financial difficulties during the 2022 market crash, Zhu and Davies' current whereabouts remain largely unknown, while facing legal challenges from disgruntled investors.
