Stability AI has launched StableLM, an open-source large language model. The alpha version contains models with 3 billion and 7 billion parameters, and larger models are in progress, including a 175 billion-parameter model. Despite its small size, StableLM models perform well in conversation and coding tasks. StableLM could be useful for cryptocurrency traders as an open-source alternative to OpenAI's ChatGPT. The StableLM model can be tested on HuggingFace, but the website is currently experiencing an extra load.
