Use of ChatGPT similar generative artificial intelligence tools paused by US Space Force due to security reasons to safeguard government data. This measure was taken amid concerns about cybersecurity and standards of data handling. The Space Force wants to ensure more responsible adoption while acknowledging the potential of generative AI to enhance its operations. Some people criticised the decision by saying it will make the country competitively slower than China as around 500 people were affected with this move. US Space Force has taken similar decision like the Italian government and some tech leads like Apple, Samsung and Amazon for data security.
