Greece Established Advisory Committee for National AI Strategy

Kryiakos Mitsotakis, Greek Prime Minister has established an advisory committee to formulate a national artificial intelligence (AI) strategy in response to the rapid advancement of AI. The goal of the committee is to prepare Greece for AI developments and applications. The team is led by MIT computer science professor Constantinos Daskalakis and includes experts in technology, ethics, law, and science, both in Greece and abroad. The committee will also provide policy recommendations and guidelines for a long-term national AI strategy, focusing on its economic and social impacts, productivity, innovation, and infrastructure. Greece is present in the EU member states subject to the upcoming EU AI Act.
