"Black Monday" is trending on social media ahead of the Wall Street open. It marks 39 years since the 1987 stock market crash.
Weekend liquidations in tokenized AI stocks, high oil prices, and rising bond yields are behind the talk. Crypto looks calmer for now. The total market cap is near $2.75 trillion, up 0.86%.

On the daily chart, $BTC moves inside a descending channel. It keeps making lower highs and lower lows, which points to short-term selling pressure.
The RSI is 51.36. That is neutral, so the price can go either way.
Analyst Ali watches $81,000, the lower edge of a daily rising channel. If buyers defend it, he sees $84,000 and then $86,500. A break below shifts his focus to $76,000.
Level | Why It Matters |
$92,500 | Next target if $87,400 breaks (about 8.5% to 12% above, per chart) |
$87,404 | Channel resistance and key breakout level |
$86,500 | Upper boundary of Ali's channel |
$84,000 | Mid-range of Ali's channel |
$81,000 | Main support level |
$80,000 to $78,000 | Support zone if rejected |
$76,000 | Next focus if $81,000 breaks |
$74,000 to $72,000 | Deeper correction zone |

Analyst Javon Marks says BTC just flashed a MACD bullish crossover. He says this signal has held for over a decade.
His chart labels past runs after each crossover at 60X, 2.6X, 7.2X, and 5.26X. He says every one rallied at least 160%, and the last three averaged about 5X.
If that repeats, he sees $424,000. The minimum move would still mean around $200,000.
That is a big if. Past patterns can fail, and this is one view among many.
He also says that with BTC above $67,559, the $116,652 area is "in play." It once acted as resistance and could be retested.
The next US midterm elections are on November 3, 2026. The last two were rough for BTC.
Midterm Year | BTC Move in the Following Month |
2010 | +30.91% |
2014 | +6.61% |
2018 | -47.13% |
2022 | -18.15% |
Four data points are a small sample. Still, it hints that volatility may be worth preparing for.
It looks that way. Saylor posted "We found room for more orange," which often hints at another Strategy purchase.
His tracker shows about 848,250 BTC, worth around $69.45 billion. The average cost is near $75,544 per coin.
At $82,580, that stack is in profit. Steady corporate buying is one reason some traders stay hopeful.
The picture is simple. Bulls need a clean move above $87,400. If it holds, $92,500 comes into view.
Bears need a rejection at channel resistance. That could send BTC toward $80,000 to $78,000, and deeper if selling grows.
Neither side has won yet. A big day on Wall Street could set the tone.
