BlockchainFX News: Can Records Verify the 500M BFX Burn?

BlockchainFX says its first official BFX token burn will take place on November 10, covering 500,000,000 BFX. The post describes them as unsold presale tokens. This BlockchainFX News report checks whether 500 million fits the published allocations and what proof should follow.

The post says the burn permanently reduces total supply.

Does the 500M BFX Figure Match the Presale Allocation?

Project tokenomics set total supply at 3.5 billion BFX, with 1.75 billion for the presale and 525 million for presale bonuses. The burn is 14.29% of total supply and 28.57% of the presale allocation. If it comes only from that allocation, 1.25 billion would remain outside the burn. This is allocation arithmetic, not a sales total.

The latest presale dashboard figure identified was $15,282,597.32 on August 12, 2026. Dividing that amount by the highest stated stage price of $0.035 gives an illustrative equivalent of about 436.6 million tokens. This is not a verified sales total or a minimum number of tokens sold. Earlier stages, bonuses, payment methods and any differences between funds raised and token allocations could change the actual figure. The available data does not reconcile the proposed 500 million burn with presale sales.

The 525 million BFX bonus allocation raises another question. The project has not clarified whether the 500 million burn covers only the 1.75 billion presale allocation or also includes tokens reserved for bonuses. The dashboard figure does not show how many bonus tokens were issued or distributed. A wallet-level reconciliation is needed.

How Can Holders Verify the November 10 BFX Burn?

Earlier coverage of a SolidProof audit page for the stated BFX contract, 0x87aD29bc7A161d7cA644EB1DB221d962e2D383D2, raised questions about the contract's burn functionality. That page was not independently reopened for this report, so its finding should not be treated as confirmation that a November 10 burn is technically impossible. The method still needs checking against the verified contract code and the eventual transaction. Other tokens use the BFX ticker, so match the full address.

A contract-level burn and a transfer to a dead address are different mechanisms. If the token contract supports a burn function that reduces total supply, the transaction should be reflected in the contract's supply records. If the project instead transfers tokens to a commonly used dead address, the tokens may become practically inaccessible, but the recorded total supply can remain unchanged. The destination and the contract's supply data will therefore matter.

For this BlockchainFX News check, look for two sets of evidence.

On-chain burn evidence

  • The source wallet and its balance before the transaction

  • A transaction hash showing the amount, destination and confirmed status

  • Total supply before and after, where the contract supports a supply-reducing burn

Evidence the tokens were unsold

  • The wallet's link to the original early sale allocation

  • A reconciliation of tokens sold, distributed, reserved and remaining

  • Whether bonus token's are in the 500 million

A confirmed transfer would establish that token's moved. It would not, on its own, establish that they were unsold early sale token's.

The Bottom Line

This BlockchainFX News review finds a dated, quantified plan but no records tying the 500 million token's to unsold token's. Treat the burn as unverified until a transaction, the contract's supply data and an allocation reconciliation agree.
