In crypto news today, most coverage of the sale talks about prices and dates.
This update looks at something simpler: how the token is meant to work once you hold it.
With the company’s announced 30 October close approaching, the Clichmont AI Presale deserves a closer look at its whitepaper, site and terms, plus the company’s 21 September press release for the close date. All were read on 12 October.
The white paper describes a second unit called βCLAI. You cannot buy it. It appears when you stake the main token, and it cannot be sent, sold, or traded.
Its job is to pay for computing time on the platform. If it sits unused for 60 days, it expires, which keeps it tied to real use.
People who stake larger amounts can also get earlier access when the network is busy.
| Feature | $CLAI | βCLAI |
| Can be sent to others | Yes | No |
| Earned by staking | No | Yes |
| Pays for computing time | Indirectly, through staking | Directly |
| Marketplace access and routing | No | Yes |
| Counts for buyback and burn | Yes | No |
The Clichmont AI Presale also points to a second group: owners of graphics chips. On the project website, these providers are called Compute Validators, and the site’s short pitch is to put chip capacity where there is demand.
It says these providers can earn rewards for helping route work. Section 6.3 of the whitepaper adds that they stake the token to sell capacity through the company’s own servers.
This is how outside capacity is meant to join later, under the company’s quality rules. Today the company runs its own sites, so this is a future step.
Buyback and burn is the part many readers ask about. The paper says the company commits to a monthly baseline buyback, run by its token arm from a reserve set aside at launch.
Bought tokens are split between liquidity and permanent burning. It calls this an operating commitment, not a promise of returns, and says the baseline is set to grow with the company’s own projections as platform use rises.
On top of the baseline, the burn is meant to speed up when the network delivers more computing work, such as more GPU hours, and slow back toward the baseline when usage cools.
It follows usage , not revenue or profit, and a fixed formula decides each cycle, not a person. The paper marks three details as still pending:
The size and funding source of the reserve
How any change to the formula would be approved and shared
The exact measure of network activity
The paper adds that the final numbers should not be treated as settled until the legal and modeling review is complete.
The terms page lists what buyers must handle themselves:
Keep control of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrase
Check wallet addresses before sending anything
Use the correct blockchain network
Review every detail before confirming
It also says third-party services, such as wallets, ID checks, and payment providers, are not the company’s responsibility.
Listed risks include price swings, software flaws, network congestion, wallet loss, hacks, rule changes, and limited liquidity.
The company also says it will not be liable for losses from wallet errors, market moves, network failures, or security incidents, and that it may change or pause parts of its services, so roadmaps are not guarantees.
The roadmap table in the whitepaper is labeled indicative and subject to change, and the document itself carries a Version 1.0 label.
Anyone joining the Clichmont AI Presale should read it next to the site’s own status notes:
| Piece | Status in official material |
| Token sale | Live, with an announced 30 October close |
| Staking | Marked “not live” on the website |
| βCLAI credits | Described, but they depend on staking |
| Buyback and burn engine | Listed with staking in the second roadmap phase |
| Outside providers | Listed as a later phase |
The paper also calls itself informational and marketing material, not an offer.
What to watch next:
Official word on when staking opens
Final details on the reserve and formula
Any company announcement before the 30 October close
The Clichmont AI Presale is easier to judge once the credits, provider staking, and burn plan are clear. Most of these pieces are described but not yet live. Read the official documents yourself, and treat each date as a company target.
