New Era of Asset Transfer and dApp Use
Sonic Blockchain, a speedy Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), adaptable to Layer-1 Blockchain streamlined for quick and perfect for DeFi applications is now backed by Binance Wallet. It will allow users to move assets and make use of dApps. Binance also hinted at upcoming airdrops to encourage more people to join. The announcement said, “Exclusive S and Sonic Chain ecosystem asset airdrops are coming for active traders on the new Sonic Chain.”
On May 1, Binance Wallet and its incorporation has gained a significant place in technological adoptions, worldwide. This lets users send tokens and use Sonic dApps directly. This has now become the latest network that is now supported by the Binance Wallet, joining others like Bitcoin, Ethereum and its layer-2, Bitcoin Cash, Solana and more. The multichain wallet aims to offer seamless access to multiple blockchains and enable easy asset transfer across all of them.
Two days before making it public, Binance authorised Bridged USDC, a type of USDC that was transferred from Ethereum to a different blockchain for S network. As reported by the exchange, this integration will enhance the liquidity on the network, which will help improve its native tokens. Binance reminds users that USDC is managed by Sonic Labs, it can't be redeemed through Circle, so users should be cautious.
A High Speed Solution for dApps:
Sonic, previously called Fantom Opera Network, was inaugurated in 2024. It is a fast layer-1 blockchain where 10,000 transactions can be settled within a second, establishing it as a livewire for DeFi applications. It works smoothly with Ethereum, making it easy to use apps and tools from the Ethereum ecosystem and its layer-2 networks.
This lets the dApps communicate with the large ecosystem of Ethereum and its layer-2, without any fault. All applications that need fast speed and affordable transaction cost like DeFi, Non Fungible Token and gaming are the focal point of S network. Traders are joining Sonic in hope of an airdrop, which is making the network look more positive.
A Game-Changer for Users
This move implies that Binance Wallet is serious about supporting promising blockchain projects. By integrating with Sonic, Biance provides its users early access to fast-growing networks with strong future potential. As DeFi keeps growing and changing, S blockchain’s speedy and low cost technology, combined with Binance's large user base, could result in furger growth in 2025.
