Bubblemaps Bundled Token Report Highlights US Role in Major Rugs

US Dominates Solana Memecoin Rug Wave: Bubblemaps

Bundled Token Investigation Shows US Leads Solana Memecoin Scam Wave

A new Bubblemaps crypto scam alter report has sparked major conversation across X after revealing that the US dominates Solana memecoin scams, accounting for more than half of all bundled token investigations.

The report highlights 38 Solana-based memecoins identified through on-chain clustering. These tokens were all linked to bundling – where teams use multiple wallets to snipe early supply, inflate prices, and execute rapid dump cycles. The goal of each Bundled token scheme is simple: front-run retail buyers and cash out before markets stabilize.

Severe Losses for Investors

Across the tokens examined, the performance has been devastating. Bubblemaps reports:

  • Minimum drawdown: 78%

  • Over 50% of tokens: down 99% or more

  • Average lifespan: less than 24 hours before a rug or halt

Examples like MELANIA, CR7 Fake, and other Pump.fun-launched coins underscore the rapid collapse typical of these schemes.

US Dominates Solana Memecoin Scams

The data shows that over 50% of these projects are connected to U.S. accounts on X, making the nation as a top origin point for coordinated Solana manipulation. Europe follows at a distant second, while India accounts for only two tokens in the entire set.

It challenges long-standing online claims that Solana’s scam activity comes primarily from developing regions. Instead, the new findings show that US crypto scam activity, particularly in memecoins, plays a much larger role than previously assumed.

Adding fuel to the claims, most of the viral memcoin rugs launches are tied to Pump.fun – one of Solana’s most active memecoin launchpads, which is now  under scrutiny for repeated rugs.  The data shows that many Pump.fun rugs trace back to U.S.-linked developer accounts, prompting reactions  for U.S. behind Pump.fun rugs, across social platforms.

What Is Bundling and Why It’s So Dangerous?

A bundled token is a coordinated insider scheme where developers use multiple wallets to snipe early supply, push prices up, and then dump on retail buyers. Bubblemaps notes that running a successful bundle often requires costly automation and enough liquidity to capture nearly a third of a token’s supply, something more accessible to high-income regions like the U.S.

Why Bundling Thrives in the U.S.

Bubblemaps and analysts cite several reasons:

  • Higher disposable income for running expensive automated sniping tools

  • Strong alignment with English-language meme culture

  • A lack of regulatory clarity, enabling quick spin-up and shut-down scams

  • Dominance of the U.S.-based bots that mass-launch coins on Solana and migrating platforms like Bonk.fun

The report also ties into growing concerns about the broader bundling scandal, with more than 26,000 Pump.fun tokens launched in the last two months, almost all ending in failure or rug pulls.

Bubblemaps Crypto Scam Alert: A Warning for Retail Traders

The latest bubblemaps memecoin scam alert serves as a reminder that even professionally marketed Solana memecoins can originate from coordinated insider groups. With thousands of quick-launch tokens appearing each month, traders need to verify wallet activity and be cautious of highly hyped launches.

Overall, the Bubblemaps Bundled token report paints a clearer picture of how these schemes operate, and where they originate, highlighting the need for stronger awareness across the ecosystem.
