Two major financial outlets, Forbes and Bloomberg, took on the task of estimating how much CZ's net worth changed during his prison stay. While both sources acknowledged the complexities of estimating his wealth, they arrived at drastically different conclusions.

CZ Estimated Net Worth

Forbes and Bloomberg used different methods to evaluate CZ's wealth, which is largely derived from equity in Binance-affiliated companies, along with his crypto holdings in Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance Coin (BNB).

Forbes, known for its bold estimates, reported that CZ's net worth was around $33 billion before his prison term. By the time of his release, they estimated his net worth had grown to $61 billion. This suggests that CZ gained at least $3 billion during his time in prison, or roughly $25 million per day.

On the other hand, Bloomberg’s estimate was far more conservative. Bloomberg initially pegged CZ’s net worth at $36.5 billion at the start of his sentence but later reported a decline to $30.8 billion by his release, indicating a loss in wealth.
