Jupiter Announces JUP Token Airdrop As 'Jupuary' Takes Off

Jupiter, the largest DEX aggregator on Solana’s ecosystem, is bringing an airdrop for the community members. 700 million JUP tokens will be distributed in January, costing $580 million. This airdrop is being referred to as ‘JUPuary’ and aims to expand Jupiter’s ecosystem while also rewarding the dedicated users.

425M tokens will be given to the eligible users actively trading on the platform. It will be one of the largest airdrop events in crypto space. 2.3M wallets have been identified to be benefitted. This includes two primary user groups, first comprising 2M swap users and the other including 320000 professional traders who handle large trade volumes.

Incentives are also coming for long-term staking with a goal to bring sustainable growth in the ecosystem. 75M JUP tokens are reserved for staking investors, thereby encouraging long-term staking. A separate reward structure has also been developed for the same.

Jupiter even has plans to distribute 4.25B JUP tokens over the year 2025.
