Over $2.1 billion in token releases are scheduled to take place in September 2025, according to CryptoRank. Data highlights that ten major firms will release tokens, with Sui, Ethena, and Aptos leading the way in value.
Throughout the month, these token unlocks correspond to different percentages of the ecosystem's market and result in significant volumes of tokens being unlocked.

Taking the top spot, Sui token is expected to have $184.22 million worth of tokens released today, representing 1.62% of its capitalization. Closely following is Ethena at $60.03 million, or 1.42%, is slated for tomorrow. Meanwhile, Aptos is set to release $47.79M, representing 1.65% of its market, on September 12.
Arbitrum will unlock $45.11 Millions, equal to 1.75%, on the 17th. LayerZero is scheduled for September 20, with $47.46 million in tokens, making up a larger portion of its supply at 10.3%.
While dollar values draw attention, certain projects show significant releases compared to their sizes. Velo, set for the 17th, will release $27.93 Million, which equals 11.4% of its cap. This share stands out as one of the highest among the listed projects.
Jito Labs will also unlock $22.28 millions, or 3.05% of its capitalization, on the 7th. In addition, StarkNet will unlock $15.93M, equal to 3.33% of its capitalization, on date 15. These figures reflect substantial proportions despite being lower in total value than larger projects.
Others are scheduled during the same period. pump.fun will release $34.13M, representing 2.83% of its market cap, on date 14. Sei follows closely with $27.10M, which makes up 1.58% of its market cap, set for September 15.
With these releases, all of the top ten unlocks scheduled for this month have now been completed. The total ($2.1 billion+) shows the heavy concentration of supply events all happening in one month.
