Trump Coin ETF Filed For The First Time By REX Shares
REX Shares has filed the first-ever ETF focussed on TRUMP meme coin.
The investment firm REX Shares is in the spotlight for filing the first-ever Trump-themed ETF. The product is supposed to focus on the TRUMP coin that’s been recently launched by the US President Donald Trump, while investing 80% of the assets in the token.
REX has also, simultaneously, filed for Dogecoin and Bonk ETFs. This indicates a bold bet on meme coins.
The floodgates for crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have opened after Gary Gensler’s resignation as the chairperson of the US SEC. This has led to a rise in crypto ETF applications, doubling to 33 filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
The mix includes not just tokens like Bitcoin and Dogecoin, but even the Trump-themed token, creating a buzz of anticipation in the crypto industry.
Asset managers are now rushing to file products that do not just cover the mainstream, but also niche options. Other latest filings inclusions are Solana and Litecoin, apart from the Trump-themed memecoin ETF.
Now that the leadership at SEC is changed, the pace of the filings has risen and is expected to keep rising further.
The SEC is now led by Mark Uyeda, bringing in new hopes for the crypto community with time.
The TRUMP memecoin got launched on Solana recently as Donald Trump took his seat in the White House. The crypto token surged heavily when in its initials. Later, though, the Trump crypto coin price has had to face a decline.
