What is Rarible (RARI)

Rarible is a multi-chain NFT marketplace and protocol that allows creators to mint, buy, and sell non-fungible tokens across multiple blockchain networks. Founded in 2020 by Alexei Falin and Alex Salnikov, Rarible distinguished itself from competitors by introducing RARI a governance token distributed to active platform users making it one of the first community-owned NFT marketplaces.

THE RARI GOVERNANCE TOKEN

RARI was one of crypto's first "governance as reward" experiments: Active traders and creators on Rarible earned RARI token distributions based on platform activity. RARI holders can vote on platform governance decisions fee structures, new feature priorities, protocol treasury allocation. Cold storage is the most secure way to keep cryptocurrencies since an offline currency becomes less likely to be hacked and stolen.
