Sky Listing Roadmap

Here is Sky’s timeline so far:

May 2025: SKY becomes the only voting token. Penalties for late MKR swaps start.

June 2–30, 2025: Phase 2 & 3 of MKR ? SKY swap. USDS rewards for SKY stakers start. Extra SKY is burned.

July 4, 2025: Alchemy Pay lets people buy SKY and USDS with fiat money in 170+ countries.

August 2025: S&P Global gives Sky a B- credit rating—the first for a DeFi project. New funds, Sky Frontier and Fortification grants, begin.

Late August–Early September 2025: Exchanges (including OKX) help migrate MKR to SKY and delist MKR.

September 15, 2025: MKR pairs are removed; deposits and withdrawals paused.

September 17, 2025: SKY trading pairs go live on OKX.

Ongoing: Buyback program burns SKY tokens using staking fees. Over 1.11 billion burned so far.

Sky Team

Sky does not post a full team list. But we know some leaders:

Rune Christensen, co-founder of MakerDAO, is still deeply involved. He helped fund the buyback program.

Sky uses the old MakerDAO talent and a big community of contributors.

Governance is run by the Sky community through on-chain voting.
