AfroChain 2025 — Africa’s Boldest Web3 & Blockchain Summit
AfroChain Summit 2025 is East Africa’s bold Web3 and blockchain conference, set for 4-5 October 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at the Addis Ababa Science Museum. Over two days, it brings together developers, founders, policymakers, creators and other stakeholders in the Web3 ecosystem. Apart from keynotes, panels and networking, the Summit includes a high-energy hackathon (100+ developers, significant prize pool, partners providing tools and mentorship) and the launch of NextChain Ethiopia — a year-round ecosystem initiative across 15 universities, incubators and policy hubs to cultivate future blockchain builders.
The event is run by Kese Events, a company in Addis Ababa that plans big conferences and live-streamed shows.
They focus on African tech, culture, and new ideas, bringing people together both online and in person.
2,000 people are expected to join from around the world.
Students from 15 universities will take part through special programs like NextChain Ethiopia.
Over 100 developers will compete in a 48-hour hackathon to build new blockchain tools and win prizes.
More than 50 partners are already supporting the event.
The team is still adding more speakers, exhibitors, and media partners, so the final number will be even bigger.
You can hear from well-known leaders, such as Dr. Leon Rebelsky, an expert in Crypto Trading and blockchain projects. Mery Avestisyan – works in global business development. Kanessa Muluneh – leader of the Coerman-Muluneh Family Office.
Groups like the Africa Blockchain Institute, Ethiopian Blockchain Network, Project Catalyst, and MInT will also share their knowledge.
Topics include DeFi, NFTs, digital identity, and how blockchain can help Africa grow.
