Btrust Dev Day 2025: Building the Future of Bitcoin in Africa

Event Overview:
Btrust Developer Day returns for its second edition on December 2, 2025, hosted in Port Louis, Mauritius, at the Trianon Convention Centre, strategically scheduled just ahead of the Africa Bitcoin Conference. This one-day, developer focused gathering is designed to bring together Bitcoin developers, designers, open source contributors, and builders from Africa and beyond. Attendees can look forward to deep technical sessions on topics like privacy tools (Federated mints, Chaumian ecash), security aspects (multisig, covenants), Lightning & Layer 2 innovations, usable interfaces, and hands-on hack sessions. The event also offers project showcases, networking opportunities, and mentorship-style workshops, continuing the community-driven legacy established during the Nairobi inaugural edition, which hosted over 250 participants

Over 800 people are expected to attend, along with 30+ expert speakers, 50+ startups and projects, and 20+ media teams covering the global Bitcoin space. It’s a place to learn, connect, and grow with others who are working on Bitcoin and open technology.
