What is the IC3 Blockchain Camp?

The IC3 Blockchain Camp 2025, scheduled for June 9–15 at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island, New York City, marks the 10th anniversary of the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts (IC3). This weeklong event offers two tracks: a coding track, where participants collaborate on Blockchain Projects, and a presentation track for those interested in attending talks and networking events. The camp is open to students from IC3-affiliated institutions and professionals associated with IC3 members or sponsors. Attendees can look forward to engaging with leading experts in blockchain research, participating in social activities, and celebrating a decade of IC3's contributions to the field.

This year is special because it’s the 10th year of the camp!

Who Comes to Camp?

The camp brings together: Students, Researchers, Tech professionals, Business leaders

There are two learning paths at the camp:

Coding Track: Work in teams to build blockchain projects.

Presentation Track: Listen to talks and join group discussions on new ideas.

Speakers & Experts

The 2025 speakers haven’t been announced yet. But last year, the camp had talks from:

Emin Gün Sirer, founder of Ava Labs, is talking about the Avalanche blockchain.

Ben Livshits, from Matter Labs, is sharing about private and secure Crypto Transactions.

Alice Han is, expert on crypto laws in China.

Michael Neuder, from the Ethereum Foundation, is teaching about staking.

Jeremy Pollack, from J.P. Morgan, shows how banks use crypto.
