About the Event & Organizer

The Southern Oregon Blockchain Hackathon 2025 is a fun and fast-paced event where people come together to create new ideas using Blockchain Technology. It will be held on October 10–11, 2025, at the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford, Oregon, inside the Rockafairy venue.  This weekend promises a fast-paced, innovation-driven experience where participants dive into cutting-edge blockchain technology through mentor-led lightning workshops, developer tracks, and hands-on building sessions. Attendees are encouraged to construct solutions on the BSV platform—especially around digital identity and smart contracts—and at the conclusion, compete for significant prize awards, with the first-place team earning the opportunity to further their creation (prize structure seen in related Texas event) 

The hackathon is run by the BSV Hackathon team. It is designed for developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain fans who want to learn, build, and share.

Participants will join workshops, meet new people, and work on projects that use blockchain. Most hackathons like this bring in dozens to a few hundred people, plus workshop leaders and sponsors.
