MEXC Maintenance Checklist: Trading Records and P&L Verification

Why Do MEXC Trading Records Stop Matching Without a Routine?

A trading summary can look tidy and still be wrong. One missing fill, a forgotten fee, or a transfer mistaken for profit can throw the final number off. A regular MEXC maintenance checklist catches these slips early.

The routine is simple. Save the records, match them against each other, and check the totals before trusting them.

Each step below follows MEXC’s own help pages, checked on November 5, 2026. Traders comparing top crypto exchanges can reuse the same habit anywhere.

In short, export Spot and Futures records through Account Data Export, match each order with its trades, and then rebuild realized P and L from closing profit, fees and net funding costs. Transfers stay out of the trading result.

What Is MEXC, and Why Does It Need a Regular Records Routine?

MEXC is a centralized crypto exchange founded in 2018. It offers spot markets, perpetual futures, earned products, copy trading, and loans from a single account. Many traders find it through new token listings, and a comparison of exchanges for new tokens shows where it fits.

That range of products creates a lot of records. Spot trades, futures positions, transfers, and funding payments all sit in different places. A simple MEXC maintenance checklist keeps them in one routine, so no number goes unchecked.

What Should MEXC Users Export Before Checking Any P&L Numbers?

Account Data Export is MEXC’s self-service page for downloading trading and funding records.

A MEXC transaction history export should cover four groups: spot orders and trades, futures orders and positions, capital flow, and funding-history.

MEXC’s help article on account data export lists Spot, Futures, Funding History, Fiat, Earn, and Sub-account data. Futures options include Position-History, Order History, Trade-History, Capital Flow, and the Futures Statement.

How Does MEXC Account Data Export Work From Start to Finish?

  1. Log in, scroll to the footer, and open Help Center, then Account Data Export under Self-Services.

  2. Choose the export reason and data type.

  3. Set the period. Exports reach back to October 1, 2024, and each report can cover up to three years.

  4. Pick Excel or PDF. Only Excel supports encryption.

  5. Click Export, then download the file from Export History or from the email.

For MEXC spot trade history, pick Trade History under the Spot options. For a MEXC funding history download, choose Funding History from the data types.

If a file fails to generate, it is usually too large. MEXC suggests exporting smaller batches, so a shorter date range often fixes it.

How Can Traders Validate MEXC Records Before Trusting Totals?

Validation just means checking a record against another one that should agree with it. MEXC keeps several records, and each tells part of the story. Open Orders list orders that haven’t fully filled yet.

Order history keeps every order and its status, canceled ones included. Trade history shows the actual executions, and a single order can leave several rows there.

A quick ex: makes this clearer. Say a 10-unit order fills in two parts: 6 units at 100.0 and 4 units at 100. 5. Order history shows one order with 10 executed units. Trade history, therefore, lists two separate rows.

To get the total trade value, each fill is multiplied by its own price: (6 × 100.0) + (4 × 100.5) = 1,002.

Dividing that by the 10 units gives the average execution price: 1,002 ÷ 10 = 100. 2.

The two fees, 0.12 and 0.08, come to 0.20 in total.

Unfamiliar terms are easy to look up in a plain-language crypto dictionary.

How Does Realized P&L Differ From Unrealized P&L on MEXC?

This section covers MEXC Futures only. Spot needs its own review of prices, quantities, fees and transfers.

Unrealized P&L belongs to an open position and moves with the market. Realized P and L is calculated after a position closes. According to MEXC’s P&L calculation article, it includes closing P&L, trading fees, and funding fees.

MEXC’s ETHUSDT shows the gap. A long position first displayed 1.37 USDT in unrealized profit. After closing, realized P&L was 0.3206 USDT.

Realized P&L = Closing P&L − Opening Fee − Closing Fee − Net Funding Costs

= (2,722.91 − 2,721.18) × 50 × 0.01 − 0.2722 − 0.2722 − 0

= 0.3206 USDT

Net funding costs means funding paid minus funding received, so the formula still works when a trader receives funding. The gap itself comes from the fair price used for unrealized P and L versus the matched closing price, plus trading fees.

MEXC perpetual Futures typically settle funding every eight hours, though intervals can change in extreme market conditions.

Normally, traders pay or receive funding if they hold a position at settlement. MEXC notes that processing delays can affect orders executed close to that time. Its funding fee explanation has the details.

Common mismatches:

  • Missing or duplicate trade records

  • Partial fills counted twice

  • Fees or funding-left out

  • Transfers treated as profit

  • Unrealized P&L reported as realized

What Are the Real Limits of MEXC Account Data Exports Today?

Spot, Futures, and Funding-History Each allows 10 exports per calendar month, and download links expire after seven days. Futures P&L analysis is separate.

It produces a MEXC Futures P&L report on the web, covers up to 360 days, and has no fixed export count, though the previous export must finish first.

MEXC doesn’t offer exports for data older than October 1, 2024. That’s why backups matter, and saved files should be treated as the permanent copy.

Published proof of reserve data adds context, though it doesn’t guarantee an exchange’s safety.

What Does a Practical Monthly MEXC Maintenance Routine Look Like?

This MEXC maintenance checklist works best once a month:

  1. Export Spot, Futures, and Funding-History reports.

  2. Save the original files untouched and open only copies in Excel.

  3. Match order IDs with trades.

  4. Check quantities and prices.

  5. Add fees and net funding-costs.

  6. Rebuild the realized P&L and note any unresolved differences.

Final Thoughts on Keeping MEXC Trading Records Clean and Verified

The real value comes from matching records, rebuilding realized P&L and noting whatever doesn’t add up. A steady MEXC maintenance checklist keeps that habit going.

Limits can change, so MEXC’s help pages stay the final reference, and the signs of a scam exchange are worth knowing too.
